The discussion was moderated by Cilla Luke, Executive Director at PWMA.

Drawing on their respective career journeys, Ann-Mirjam and Alisa reflected on the early skills, instincts and perspectives that compound over time, and how their thinking has evolved as responsibilities widened from technical excellence to judgment, trust and long‑term stewardship. They shared candid insights on decision‑making under uncertainty, distinguishing good decisions from good outcomes, and maintaining conviction when markets or stakeholders disagree.

The dialogue also touched on legacy and succession, ownership and leadership transition, developing great talent over time, and the role of philanthropy in articulating purpose and values across generations.

Our sincere thanks to KKR for hosting, and to Ann‑Mirjam and Alisa for their candour and leadership perspectives shared during this exclusive session.
