{"id":121,"date":"2020-07-27T01:47:32","date_gmt":"2020-07-26T17:47:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/project-pwma-uat.ltworkshop.com\/?page_id=121"},"modified":"2021-05-11T15:13:25","modified_gmt":"2021-05-11T07:13:25","slug":"cpwp","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pwma.org.hk\/en\/ecf\/cpwp\/","title":{"rendered":"CPWP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"is-layout-flex wp-container-3 wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-column\" style=\"flex-basis:66.6%\">\n<p>Relevant Practitioners will be certified by the PWMA as CPWP, when they have successfully completed the programme and examination requirements under the ECF and have the prerequisite work experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The requirements for CPWP certification have been set forth for \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Relevant Practitioners with at least 10 years of relevant work experience on or before 31 December 2014, and hence eligible for grandfathering; and<\/li><li>Relevant Practitioners with less than 10 years of relevant work experience on or before 31 December 2014, and hence not eligible for grandfathering.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwma.org.hk\/files\/routes-to-obtain-certification\/routes-to-obtain-certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cRoutes to Obtain Certification as CPWP\u201d<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4>1. <strong><strong>PWM Practitioners with at least 10 years of relevant work experience<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The ECF provides for a one-off exemption based on work experience.&nbsp; PWM practitioners with at least 10 years of relevant work experience may be eligible for \u201cgrandfathering\u201d and be exempted from taking Module 1 (Technical, Industry and Product Knowledge) training programmes and examinations.&nbsp;&nbsp; In view of the importance of professional ethics and to ensure Relevant Practitioners are equipped with the updated regulatory knowledge, practitioners who are \u201cgrandfathered\u201d are still required to pass the examination on Module 2 (Ethics and Compliance) or complete the Ethics and Compliance training programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please refer to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwma.org.hk\/files\/guidelines-for-grandfathering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cGuidelines for Grandfathering\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;for details on grandfathering eligibility criteria and requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>2. <strong>PWM Practitioners with less than 10 years of relevant work experience<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>PWM practitioners with less than 10 years of relevant work experience are required to pass the examinations for both Module 1 and Module 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please refer to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwma.org.hk\/files\/guidelines-for-cpwp-certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cGuidelines for CPWP Certification\u201d<\/a>\u00a0for details on CPWP certification eligibility criteria and requirements.\u00a0Please also refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwma.org.hk\/en\/ecf\/faq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FAQ<\/a>\u00a0for a list of commonly asked questions regarding ECF and CPWP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>CPWP Certification Renewal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to maintain ongoing professionalism and keep abreast of the latest developments, Relevant Practitioners who have obtained the CPWP designation, are required to fulfill not less than 10-hours of On-going Professional Training (\u201cOPT\u201d) annually to upkeep the CPWP certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwma.org.hk\/files\/guidelines-for-cpwp-certification-renewal-opt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cGuidelines for CPWP Certification Renewal (On-going professional Training)\u201d<\/a> for details on the OPT requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conditions apply to late renewal or failure to fulfill OPT requirements. Please contact PWMA if you have any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Accreditation and Exemption Mechanism<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The PWMA has established an Accreditation and Exemption Committee which will assess and approve applications for accreditation or applications for exemption and CPWP certification under the ECF.
