This week we provided our members with training on cybersecurity preparedness in conjunction with A&O Shearman, where A&O’s APAC Head of Privacy and Cyber <\/a>Anna Gamvros and their Senior Associate <\/a>Ruby Kwok, along with S-RM’s APAC Head of Incident Response <\/a>Kyle Schwaeble discussed why \u201cCybersecurity is a Team Sport: Who to Involve in Cyber Preparedness and Incident Response\u201d. The panel provided insightful thoughts from their experience working with clients around the region and covered the following key topics:
– Cybersecurity Threats and Trends: the surge in business email compromise incidents, particularly in the professional services field, and the increasing prevalence of ransomware.
– APAC Legal Framework Overview: a comparison of cybersecurity legal frameworks between Hong Kong and other jurisdictions.
– Cybersecurity Cycle: an overview of the different phases of an incident response, who to involve and other considerations.
– Case Studies and Polling: the session was interactive with attendees submitting their responses on various scenarios from real-life case studies, illustrating lessons learned.
