1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the spirit of community engagement, PWMA challenged students enrolled in the Pilot Apprenticeship Programme for Private Wealth Management to come up with ideas for community service projects that PWMA would then help put into action. We\u2019re pleased to say the exercise was a success, helping students attached to different firms to work together for the common good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students were asked to form teams that submitted competing proposals, which they then presented to a PWMA panel of judges. The winning team (see below) then worked with PWMA to help put their \u201cVolunteer Service for Hong Kong\u2019s Small and Medium Enterprises\u201d plan into action. In addition, they organized two separate activities around working with an organization helping the homeless in Sham Shui Po.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June, members of the PWMA Executive committee, the Managing Director and other PWMA representatives enjoyed a networking lunch with members of all the finalist teams that joined the competition, and the winning apprentice team received certificates recognizing their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later in the summer, around 40 Apprentices joined in the various community service activities. With guidance from a mentor at Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, they helped two SMEs (Mama Tea and Unique Insurance Consultants Limited) in Sham Shui Po and Jordan with their business challenges. On 28 July, apprentices also organised activities and distributed gifts sponsored by an SME beneficiary to 40 homeless residents at the Christian Concern for the Homeless Association (CCHA).
