Unlocking Strategic Advantage: Agentic AI in Wealth and Asset Management

✨ We were delighted to co-host a recent webinar with Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, featuring Chris Leung from EY and En Hong from Generis Regulatory Solutions.

In the session, Chris shared valuable insights on the rise of Agentic AI and how firms are approaching this rapidly evolving area:

– Evolution of AI – from rule-based systems to machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, leading to agentic AI, which enables autonomous, multi-step actions beyond passive assistance.

– Risk management remains critical – while capabilities are advancing, hallucination risks persist, underscoring the importance of human-in-the-loop oversight, guardrails, and auditability. Agentic AI is best seen as a capability amplifier rather than a fully autonomous decision-maker.

– Adoption is accelerating – survey insights highlight that 95% of firms are already using at least three GenAI use cases, with 99% planning more within two years, and 85% expect agentic AI to be fully integrated across functions.

– Focus areas are emerging – firms are converging on personalised client engagement in the front office, alongside real-time risk and regulatory automation in the back office.

– Core Capabilities – including classification and categorization, document extraction, knowledge retrieval, web search, human-like reasoning, and content generation for client communication.

– Practical use cases – from AI-powered RM desktops enhancing advisor workflows, to AI-enabled private equity deal processes improving efficiency and reducing deal cycle time.

A big thank you to HKSI and our speakers for an insightful and engaging discussion. We look forward to continuing the conversation on how Agentic AI is shaping the future of private wealth management.
