Bloomberg Event: : Women in Private Wealth 2024

Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) collaborated with Bloomberg’s “Private Inspirations: Women in Private Wealth 2024” where more than 100 attendees took part at Bloomberg’s Hong Kong office, with great participation from PWMA members.

As the global financial landscape continues to evolve, Hong Kong remains a key hub for private wealth management. Key players from the private wealth management and family office arenas got together to discuss the forces shaping the industry in Greater China and beyond. The event brought successful women leadership in private wealth and family office sector together to share their visions and stories.

The event kicked off with a fireside chat with Amy Lo, JP, Chair of Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) and Yvonne Man from Bloomberg where Amy shared how she navigate challenges and highlighted the importance in striking a balance between work and life as a female CEO. She spoke about growth drivers and opportunities of the private wealth landscape in Asia, the different times during her career she has been involved in mergers, and how her exposure in tech during early part of her career provided perspectives on the importance of technology.

The 2 other panels covered regulatory developments, market disruptions, emerging technologies and facilities such as Wealth Management Connect, industry trends, opportunities & challenges in the Greater China and APAC wealth management markets.

Seeing women in leadership positions helps to break down stereotypes and barriers, demonstrating that leadership roles are attainable regardless of gender. The event provided a platform for prominent women in the industry to share their experiences, insights and vision for the future of private wealth management.
