PWMA Apprenticeship Programme Networking Lunch

Celebrating Community, Leadership & Impact at PWMA’s Networking Lunch

On 30th July, we proudly hosted an Appreciation Lunch, bringing together PWMA Executive Committee Members, industry leaders, Apprentices and Alumni — all united in celebrating the remarkable contributions of our Apprentices, Alumni and their Mentors.

In the spirit of community engagement and leadership development, our Apprentice teams — guided by passionate Mentors — successfully designed and implemented three impactful community service projects over the summer, focusing on education, elder care, and support for disadvantaged groups. Their initiatives with Food Grace, Helping Hand, and Arts With The Disabled Association showcased not only thoughtful planning and teamwork, but also deep compassion and strong leadership.

We were delighted to have our Executive Director, Cilla Luke, deliver a warm welcome and share insights into the background of our projects and mentorship initiatives. Our Apprentice teams – Winnie Ho, Ethan Zhang, Tim Yun, Nick Wai, Kristy Cheng, Adagio Chan, Matthew Cheng, and Sonia Song – then shared their inspiring journeys with guests including PWMA ExCo Members, Amy Lo, Alex Liu, Alex Ng, Frederick Fong, Lemuel Lee, Peter Tung, and industry leaders such as Anton Wong and Candy Wan. Their efforts were met with heartfelt applause and enthusiastic encouragement.

We were deeply honoured to have our Chairperson, Amy Lo, share her vision for future opportunities within the industry. Amy also presented awards to the Apprentice-led project teams and their Mentors — Anna Wang (BNP Paribas), Judy Chan (BOCHK), and Raynard Cheng (UBS AG) — in recognition of their invaluable guidance and unwavering support.

We also extended our sincere thanks to the Apprenticeship Alumni Committee — Gordon Wong, Tony Au, Kristy Cheng, and Chloe Chan — in recognition for their consideration contributions in organizing enriching events, including campus outreach and experience-sharing efforts.

This event not only celebrated the achievements of our young talents but also offered valuable opportunities for them to engage with industry leaders, exchange ideas on next-gen development, explore emerging trends, and discuss upcoming initiatives in talent development and private wealth management.
