On Thursday, May 2nd, the PWMA organized a special forum to share latest developments and updates on regulations regarding complex products with our members. Sumit Indwar, a partner at Linklaters, set the scene with a recap of the regulations. He later joined Charlotte Robins, Partner at Allen & Overy; Lawrence Cheung, Chairman of the PWMA Regulatory Committee; and Peter Stein, PWMA Managing Director, for a panel discussion covering topics such as streamlined PDD, coordinating the SFC’s complex product rules with HKMA’s loss-absorption product rules and the challenges of putting an operational framework around the new regulations.
