PWMA x Helping Hand Community Service – Truths in the Sand

On the morning of 28 June, we were honored to partner with Helping Hand to organize an impactful event that brought joy, learning, and empowerment to around 60 elderly residents at Po Lam Jockey Club Housing for the Elderly.

A passionate group of apprentices, alumni, and Family Office Association Hong Kong interns came together to learn essential elderly care skills, pack heartfelt gifts, and engage in a series of meaningful and educational activities. Through lively icebreaker games, they built connections with senior community members. Volunteers then led an interactive session on the rising trend of online scams, teaching seniors how to identify suspicious activity and digital fraud, and how to safeguard their wealth.

One touching highlight of the event was a sand painting workshop, where apprentices and interns gained meaningful insights into the lives of cherished seniors. The activity not only brought joy and companionship to the elderly but also served as a bridge between the younger and older generations, fostering mutual understanding and support. Most significantly, it exemplified the dedication of the next generation of private wealth management or family office professionals to creating positive social impact.
We were truly grateful to see our “big brothers and sisters” leave with radiant smiles that lit up the day. A heartfelt thank you to Judy Chan from Bank of China (Hong Kong) for her exceptional mentorship in guiding PWMA apprentices Nick Wai and Adagio Chan, and alumna Kristy Cheng in bringing this meaningful initiative to life.
